Terrance D. Lanier focuses his practice on representing domestic and international air carriers, commercial airports, and their insurers in connection with a broad spectrum of matters involving aviation and aerospace law, including premises liability, product liability, wrongful death, contract disputes, and commercial litigation.
He earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Philosophy from the University of South Carolina in 2010, graduating magna cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 2015, he obtained his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law.
After graduating from law school, Terrance joined the Massachusetts Gaming Commission as a legal fellow, where he spearheaded research related to the state-tribal compact, gaming statutes, gaming regulations, and self-exclusion program. Following the fellowship, Terrance served as a law clerk for Honorable Gregory I. Massing at the Massachusetts Appeals Court, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts intermediate appellate court. He aided the Court in the decision-making process for over fifty cases during the 2017-2018 term.
Before joining KMA Zuckert, Terrance practiced commercial litigation with a Boston-based firm. He has experience in every phase of the litigation process, including serving as lead counsel in a bench trial in the Fiduciary Litigation Session of the Massachusetts Norfolk Probate Court. He has extensive experience leading clients through the mediation and conciliation process and drafting comprehensive settlement agreements to ensure the effective resolution of disputes. Terrance D. Lanier was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2021 to 2023 for his practice in commercial litigation.
