Al Barraza represents clients throughout the commercial and general aviation industry in complex litigation before state and federal courts, including air carriers and other entities within the aviation sector. Drawing on experience managing matters through every phase of litigation, he provides strategic counsel and effective advocacy to help clients navigate the aviation industry's complex legal and regulatory landscape.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Barraza represented the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in employment litigation matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit Systems Protection Board, defending the agency in matters involving adverse employment actions, discrimination claims, and whistleblower retaliation claims. Before his tenure with the FAA, Mr. Barraza represented insurance carriers, businesses, and organizations in a variety of general liability matters, including premises and automobile liability claims.

Mr. Barraza earned his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Pretrial Litigation, Employment Litigation, and Professional Responsibility in recognition of his academic achievement. Before law school, Mr. Barraza graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Criminology, Law, and Justice.

Alongside his legal practice, Mr. Barraza is pursuing his Private Pilot Certificate, reflecting his commitment to developing a deeper understanding of aviation and providing clients with strategic counsel informed by both legal experience and operational insight.
